Privacy

Your practice data stays on your device.

Strumetra Studio is a local-first practice app. The web app has no account system, advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking.

Version 1.23.0

Effective date: August 15, 2026

Scores stay local

Files you open are parsed in your browser. The app does not upload them to an application server.

Audio stays local

Microphone input is analyzed only while Audio trigger training is running. It is not recorded or transmitted.

Bluetooth is user-initiated

Your browser asks you to choose a compatible fretboard before the app can connect or send LED commands.

No score caching

The offline service worker stores only the app shell and bundled runtime resources, never user-selected scores.

Data handled on your device

Network requests

The static app downloads its own code, music font, and sound font from the site hosting this page. Remote score links are disabled in the web release; scores can be opened only through the local file picker or drag and drop.

The app itself does not set tracking cookies or send analytics. Like most websites, the hosting provider may process standard access and security logs such as IP address, request time, and browser information. The provider selected for deployment is responsible for its own logging and retention practices.

Offline storage and deletion

The service worker precaches the versioned application shell, legal pages, icons, Bravura font files, and the bundled SONiVOX sound font. It does not add files you open to its cache. Old application-shell caches are deleted when a new version activates.

You can remove saved preferences and offline files at any time by clearing site data for the deployed web address in your browser. Disconnecting or forgetting a Bluetooth device is managed by your browser and operating system.

Permissions

Bluetooth and microphone access are optional. Denying either permission leaves score viewing, chord practice, metronome, and drum-machine features available, except for the feature that requires that permission. Browser or operating-system settings can revoke permission later.

Children and sensitive information

The app is a music-practice utility and does not ask users to submit personal profiles or sensitive information. It is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Changes and questions

Material changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. For privacy or support questions, contact support@strumetra.app. The support page provides compatibility details and diagnostic steps that do not require sharing a score or audio recording.
